Earthquake Smokey Quartz Crystals
We were introduced to Bill Adams of Earth Echoes by our friend, Terry Milton, “The Stone Lady”. Bill spends half his time in New Hampshire and half in Brazil. When he is in the United States, he sells his stones. When he is in Brazil, he digs them – by hand, with wooden tools. (This method of “mining” disrupts neither the land, nor the people of the land, nor the stones themselves). When last in Brazil, Bill came across a buried bed of Quartz Crystals formed several hundred million years ago by an earthquake. We offer some of these to you here, along with insights from The Stone Lady, who sat with them and offers these thoughts:
The person who connects with a crystal from “Earthquake Mine” may have an inner conflict concerning a trauma that was not of their own making! The crystal cannot be blamed for being where it was at the time of an earthquake any more than the person associated with this stone can be blamed or faulted for their experiences with trauma or traumatic events.
The wonderful healing energy associated with the “Earthquake Crystals” will help to reinforce the messages that, “It WILL by okay!” and “It was NOT your fault!” Ideal for one who is working through trauma, this crystal is a gentle reminder of the power of forgiveness, especially when one is carrying guilt or pain or shame or sadness for something that was not their fault!

Bill uses a wooden stick to locate crystals that reside in shallow soil. In many cases, the crystals have been preserved in sand for thousands of years. It is unusual for him to dig deeper than two feet to find many of his beautiful crystals."
Please look closely at these special quartz clusters, which were collected from Serra Ouro Fino Casa Branca, Brasil, also known as “Earthquake Mine.” An earthquake (or fault in the earth) occurred during this crystal’s growth, serving as a reminder that many life experiences are beyond our control.
