When we first moved to Rockport in 1964, The Annisquam Foot Bridge was open to cars.
I remember driving over it. It was not long after that that the bridge was closed, and it
remained closed for many years. Now it is open again – as a foot bridge, and as a delight
to all. Annisquam is not in Rockport. It is part of Gloucester, on the back side of the
island. One day we will do a pictorial tribute to the back side of Cape Ann, but for now
I wanted simply to show you this lovely old bridge
