June Lesch, owner of the building at the corner of Doyle Cove Road that housed Bear Skin Neck Sweaters, passed on this winter. She was an old friend of everyone in the neighborhood, and will be dearly missed. June made a lovely gown for me when I was named Miss Rockport 1968 and rode on the fire engine in The 4th of July Parade. Her husband, “Shorty” was Rockport’s Harbormaster for many years. The building is now for sale. (SOLD).
